Meeting Great New People at HR Star 2017
We had the pleasure and privilege to participate in the annual HR Star Conference in South San Francisco last week. We had a great time having great conversations with HR professionals from all around the Bay Area and Northern California.
It was a full day for the participants. After the keynote speaker gave the full group of about 800 people insights into how to manage difficult conversations, there were about 16 different breakout sessions covering a wide range of HR responsibilities.
In the past, Bovo-Tighe has served as a presenter for the breakout sessions. This year we decided to focus on the conversations we had at our exhibitor’s booth. We were not disappointed!
- Most of the participants who came to talk to us were mid-career professionals.
- They all had an interest in how to get their key executives and managers to “work better together.”
- They were universally intrigued by our diagnostic tools, which we don’t usually offer as standalone services. These form the baseline or foundation of all the development work we do with people and teams, so we enjoyed the chance to explain how in-depth diagnostics were a critical element of any successful human development program.
To hammer this point home, our “show special” did offer HR Star attendees the chance to use one of our team profiling tools without cost, with no obligation to work further with us.
